September 2008: Affiliate member of the IMCS Group
After a separation of 4 years, Transrisk en IMCS have found each other again and have taken residence jointly in the Transrisk building at Hoogvliet-Rotterdam.
At the same time Transrisk joined the IMCS Group of companies as affiliate member.As affiliate member of the IMCS Group, Transrisk can expand their services and can assist the IMCS offices, which are strategically located among the whole European coast reaching from St.Petersburg via Lisbon and Marseille to Rijeka, and even outside Europe in the port of Shanghai.
March 2008: ADR inspections in Moldova
Transrisk was requested to assist and to advise in the inspections of ADR transports of pesticide waste in Moldova, such to prevent high fines of the Austrian and German police in case of violating rules during the road transport to France. During the 50 days we were present in Moldova, we have inspected and successfully released over 400 Tons of pesticide packed in drums, bigbags and IBC’s.
February 2008: Transrisk has moved to its new building
On 18th February Transrisk has moved to its new built accommodation in Hoogvliet-Rotterdam.Our office is strategically located near the main Terminals in the Port of Rotterdam and with easy access to major roads.
January 2008: The 2007 statistics
In 2007 11,6 % of the inspected HC containers had been rejected, which is in line with the percentage of the last 10 years. Further, we have applied 2290 placards on the 4900 inspected HC containers.
January 2007: HAZMAT adjusts consequences of inspections
As from January 1st 2007, the dangerous cargo department of the Belgian Shipping Inspection, HAZMAT, will adjust the consequences of its inspections.
Incomplete or incorrect Dangerous Goods Declarations / Container Packing Certificates will give rise to the goods being detained for shipment. If the cargo is already loaded on board at time of the inspection, it will have to be discharged immediately.
June 2006: Transrisk launches new website
We are proud to launch a new website which gives a clear view on the activities of Transrisk and - at the request of a major Carrier - we implemented our Inspection Database - called HCM - as a webservice.
The HCM can be accessed by our customers for inquiries on the inspection status of their containers.

June 2006: Invitation Degussa
Transrisk was invited by Degussa to witness the tests of several ways of lashing and securing of jerricans Hydrogen Peroxide in containers. These tests were professionally executed by Degussa at their Antwerp plant and in collaboration with the Belgium Competent Authorities and the Degussa representatives, an operational assessment was made.
June 2006: Meeting with Haz.Mat. in Belgium
On 1st June, Transrisk had a meeting with the Belgium Competent Authorities (Haz.Mat) which appeared to very fruitful: both parties learned to know each other much better which will certainly increase the quality of the inspections on both sides.
Also it was agreed to discuss and communicate new developments in the HC container transport.
April 2006: Start DGD service for ESF Euroservices
After suffering lots of problems with the Authorities, ESF Euroservices decided to call Transrisk in for help and advices to scrutinize DGD's of containers to be shipped on their vessels.
This case shows the necessity of good and accurate documentation which cover Hazardous Cargo Containers.
January 2006: 2005 statistics
The inspection result figures of 2005 again show that inspection of containers with Hazardous Cargo is absolutely necessary: 9,3% of the HC containers inspected by Transrisk were found un-safe for sea transport! Also a number of 3267 placards and 2975 UN-numbers failed on the 6764 inspected containers.
December 2005: Transrisk receives ISO 9002 certificate
After a thorough preparation, Transrisk succesfully passed the exam for receiving the ISO 9002 certificate. This certificate confirms the accurate and high quality working procedures Transrisk already followed.
