Service levels
Transrisk has three service levels (all are part of the hazardous cargo management approach).
Our operational department is called upon not only to advise on loss prevention, but also to cope with the problems caused by damage involving chemicals and/or the environment. If so required, this department is supported by chemical and/or environmental technologists specialised in this field.
Inspections
- Checking seaworthy packing/stowage of cargoes in containers
- Checking the integrity of (tank) containers
- Checking the presence of required labels/placards/markings
- Checking the required type of UN-packaging
- Checking the segregation rules
- Inspection of fumigated containers
Incident management
- Re-packing of containers loads
- (Re-) lashing/securing of container loads
- Transferring of (hazardous) contents of tank-containers
- Transferring of contents of incorrect or leaking drums
- Defraying expenses and environmental damages
Support / Outsourcing
- Wide range of ad-hoc services, i.e.
- Placarding and marking of (tank-)containers
- Seal checks
- Tank inspections
- The performance as specialist-expert for the following activities:
- Checking DG documentation (DGD /CPC)
- Checking / preparing DG stowage plans
- Preparing DG documentation for shipment
- Co-loading advises
- Obtaining permits, exemptions, etc
- Training / advising
- Attending and advising of projects.
- Safety advisor
- Specialist Hazardous Cargo
- Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) coordinator
Quality assurance
Transrisk is certified according the ISO standards and is in close contact with the Dutch and Belgium Competent Authorities to discuss the actual developments regarding the IMDG Code, ADR and ADNR.
